Solar Park De Hoge Vaart, Zeewolde (NL)

SolarEur built the De Hoge Vaart solar park in Zeewolde, commissioned by Vattenfall. The farm has a capacity of 22.2 MWp with approximately 38,300 panels. The solar farm supplies sustainable energy to approximately 9,250 households and supports the regional energy transition.

Characteristics and Impact

The solar farm covers 21 hectares, of which 15 hectares are solar panels and 6 hectares are nature development. Three test fields are located on the south side where Aeres University of Applied Sciences students are conducting research. The landscaping, incorporating alder hedgerows and herb-rich grassland, enhances biodiversity and harmonizes with the surrounding natural environment. The farm supplies approximately 9,250 households with sustainable energy.

The integration of ecological test fields promotes knowledge development around environmentally friendly solar energy. The project demonstrates that large-scale energy generation can be effectively combined with landscape and ecological values.
